Practising mainly in criminal law both prosecution and defence exclusively in the crown
court. Deal with all types of criminal cases.
Recent cases of interest, was a (1) junior counsel on 7 week trial at the Inner London's
Crown Court, involving conspiracy to handle stolen motorbikes and parts. The judge read
into the records of the case that this case had 'very unusual point of law and facts.' (2)
Judicial Review on mode of committal for youths reported as DS v Enfield Youth
Justices. (3) Defended a 2.2 million confiscation claim (4) and currently defending
importation of drugs trial where duress is being run as a defence.
Crown Prosecution Service
As a prosecutor and special casework lawyer, I dealt with most serious, complex, sensitive and high profile case such as murders, manslaughters, corporate manslaughter, death by professional negligence, arson, armed robberies conspiracies to defraud, conspiracies to supply drugs where evidence was obtained by use of covert operations involved in use of telephone tapping and video recording, Dealt with, unique cases such case involving husband and wife who were summonsed for 300 offences under Endangered Species legislation.
Dealt with sensitive disclosure issues such as informant led evidence and made Public Immunity Applications Ex Parte, Advised, police on specialist drugs operations, such as Operation Razor (Brent).
Have considerable knowledge of letters of request to seek assistance from foreign jurisdiction, freezing assets of suspected drug dealers in Europe and confiscation proceedings in United Kingdom.

Devised and implemented good legal practises and procedures in criminal justice and judicial administration of Kosovo, which had to be compatible with all international human rights conventions

As his advisor, I support the mayor's agenda on human rights issues affecting the residents of London, which encompasses civil, political, social and economic rights (the latter two is to ensure that public authorities when allocating resources or taking decisions do so in fair manner and with respect to dignity of their citizens. Recent work has been working with MPs, civil liberties organisations and others to put together a coherent case on key aspects of the governments proposed anti-terror legislation such as 'glorification clauses', 90 days rule etc..
