Professional Experience
Kelly completed pupillage at East Anglian Chambers and was then offered a tenancy at 3 Temple Gardens in London.
Having over the years continued to practice extensively in Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex she decided to join 2 King’s Bench Walk who have a presence in both Ipswich and London.
Kelly has been instructed on; crimes of violence (including GBH and ABH), drugs (such as importation, possession with intent to supply), dishonesty (burglary, commercial and dwelling, robbery, and theft), as well as general “run of the mill” criminal cases.
Although her practice is predominantly in the Crown court she has retained contacts and work in her other specialisations.
Kelly’s cross-over practice has assisted her knowledge and preparation in fraud cases and private prosecutions by the DWP and DTI.
Her practice has flourished as a result of her adversarial skills and client care. She is frequently instructed on cases with difficult clients and vulnerable witnesses.
Kelly is always available for advice as to procedure and evidence, (both formally and informally).
